LifeWrap is built around user-controlled activity logging. This policy is intentionally structured data so dates, sections, and copy can be edited without touching page layout code.
Overview
LifeWrap helps you keep a personal record of your activities, media, people, and memories. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
The app and lifewrap.app are part of the same service. The website hosts legal pages, support information, and app-opening share destinations for activity and profile links.
Data we collect
LifeWrap collects the information needed to create your account, run the app, sync your activity history, and help you share only what you choose to share.
- Account and profile information such as email address, display name, username, optional avatar, and optional bio.
- Activity content you create, including activity type, custom title, notes, timestamp, duration, location text, tagged people, privacy setting, photos, videos, and thumbnails.
- Social activity such as friendships, friend requests, likes, comments, reports, and moderation signals needed to keep the service safe.
- Device and diagnostics data such as crash reports, performance data, release environment, installation identifiers, and push tokens if notifications are enabled.
Location context
The current app stores user-entered activity location or context fields. It does not require background location access for the core activity log experience.
If a future version asks for device location permission, this policy should be updated before that version ships.
How we use data
We use your data to provide LifeWrap: showing your activity history, rendering profiles, syncing media, powering feeds, comments, wraps, notifications, and support workflows.
We may use diagnostics and operational data to debug crashes, protect accounts, prevent abuse, and understand whether core app flows are working.
Your controls
You can change whether an activity is private or public in the app. You can export your activity logs to CSV from Settings. You can delete your account from Settings.
Account deletion removes your profile, activity logs, media, and friendships. Comments on surviving conversations may remain as deleted-author placeholders so other users are not left with broken threads.
Retention
We keep account and activity data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We remove account-scoped content when account deletion completes, except where limited safety, legal, or conversation-integrity records must be retained.
Service providers
LifeWrap uses service providers for core infrastructure, authentication, storage, app distribution, push notifications, diagnostics, and similar operational needs. These providers process data only as needed to provide those services.
No third-party advertising
LifeWrap is not built around third-party advertising. We do not sell your personal information or use LifeWrap content for third-party ad targeting.
Changes to this policy
We will update the effective date when this policy changes. Material changes should also be announced in the app or by another reasonable notice before they take effect.
